AS218671 is a small independent network built to put two residential fibre connections to proper use, and to learn BGP by actually running it rather than reading about it.

The goal is straightforward: announce an owned prefix, hold real sessions with real peers, and get first-hand experience with routing policy, redundancy, and failover across two independent uplinks — the kind of hands-on operational knowledge that's hard to get any other way.

This is a hobbyist, non-commercial project. It's run carefully, but it's run for fun and for learning, not for production traffic. Peers looking for a low-stakes, technically engaged neighbour on the table are exactly who this is for.
